How Passive Skill Inheritance Works

When two Pals breed, each parent can contribute up to 2 of their passive skills to the child's inheritance pool. The child then randomly inherits traits from this pool. A parent with 4 passives contributes 2, and so does the other parent — creating a pool of up to 4 possible traits.

The Optimal Strategy:

  1. Parent A has passives: Artisan + Work Slave
  2. Parent B has passives: Serious + Positive Thinker
  3. Inheritance pool = all 4 target skills
  4. Child has the best chance to inherit all 4

Step-by-Step Breeding Guide (Getting 4 Perfect Passives)

1Catch 2 Pals of your target species with at least 2 desired skills each (e.g., one with Artisan+Work Slave, one with Serious+Positive Thinker).
2Breed them together. Check the offspring's passives. Repeat until you get a child with 3-4 target skills.
3Use the best child as a new parent. Breed it with another copy that has your remaining target skills.
4Continue until you consistently get 4/4 target passives on children.
5Self-breed your perfect Pal to produce multiple copies for your base.
